Ingredients (Makes 16 appetizers)
16 slices cocktail pumpernickel or 4 large slices of pumpernickel or rye bread cut into quarters
1 package | 165 g
Arla® Creamy Havarti Cheese Slices, cut into quarters
8 slices shaved deli corned beef, cut in halves lengthwise
1 cup | 250 mL
ready made coleslaw
1/2 cup | 125 mL
Thousand Island dressing
gherkin pickles for garnish (optional)
Preheat oven to 350ºF (180ºC).
Top each slice of pumpernickel with two pieces of Havarti Cheese and a half-slice of corned beef (folded over to fit bread). Place on a baking sheet; bake for approximately 5 – 7 minutes, or until cheese begins to melt. Remove from oven; top with a teaspoon of coleslaw, a scant half-teaspoon of Thousand Island dressing and garnish with a gherkin if desired.
