Onion Bloomin Bread with Arla® Smoked Havarti Cheese

1 loaf round sourdough bread,unsliced
1 pkg 170 g Arla® Smoked Havarti Cheese, cut vertically into 1/4” slices
1/2 cup 125 mL butter, melted
4 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
1/2 cup 125 g fresh green onion, finely sliced
1 tbsp 15 mL poppy seeds


Preheat oven to 350º F (175ºC). Cut the bread lengthwise and widthwise into squares without cutting through the bottom crust. Place on a foil-lined baking sheet. Insert Smoked Havarti Cheese randomly between cuts. Combine melted butter, garlic, green onion, and poppy seeds. Pour over bread. Wrap foil around the bread to cover.
Bake for 15 minutes. Unwrap the bread and bake an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and begins to brown slightly.
